Mission As Life is not a typical short term mission trip. Mission As Life participants seek to make missions a life-style, not a feel good experience.

Mission as Life Trips

These are week long Appalachian  mission trips. Our goal is to help those who participate move from merely participating in a trip once a year, to developing a lifestyle that involves serving the poor where they live. You will be challenged to look at your life, vocation, and how you live in your community in a new way, seeking God's guidance in how to advance the Kingdom.

You will arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Friday.  You will be part of a team doing either home repair, youth recreation programs, or other work to help the people of this area. Plan your trip soon because the weeks fill quickly. These trips are scheduled for spring break and from June to August during the summer..

Long Weekend Trips

These  trips span 2 to 3 work days. You will participate in home repair for needy families during the day, and study God's Word on servanthood in the evenings. Expect the same work, spiritual growth, and fun as in the Mountaineer Work Safaris--only over a shorter duration! These Appalachia trips are limited to smaller groups and are available year round.

Appalachian Mission Trips for Families  We want to enable families to make service a vital part of their family life. We have created the opportunity for families to serve together as a unit, children working with parents. This can take place over a long weekend or week long time frame outside the time of the summer trips. Families are able to serve the elderly, do home repair or assist in our Empowerment Center.
