PRAYER CONCERNS

Although we do much in the way of social work, we are not social workers. Pray that each staff person have a vital and powerful relationship with Christ. Pray that sharing Christ's love always be our number one priority.
General Needs
Staff Positions needing filled. We currently are seeking to recruit key people for the work. We are recruiting 4 key positions. We need Male Youth Workers and a person to oversee our economic development projects (start a specialty foods business and a woodworking business). We want people committed to obeying and incarnating Jesus Christ and a servant's heart. We need three interns for summer home repair ministry. We also need a bookeeper.
Jacque's health . Jacque has myasthenia gravis. She was diagnosed with osteoporosis as a result of the medication she is taking. As she lowers her medication, she becomes weaker. Pray that she doesn't become ill with the flu or colds this winter.
Community Work We must create coalitions of churches and mobilize and train them to address the chronic problems in this area. Pray God give us favor with pastors and key leaders. Pray for Nehemiah People, a collaboration of faith based agencies working in the county.
We need to recruit 40 people to support the ministry at $50 a month.
Teams Pray the Lord prepare the 500+ volunteers who will come to work with us in home repair this spring and summer. Pray that God use them as well as powerfully encounter them as they serve.
Safety We travel extensively and in the summer our interns and volunteers not only travel, but are involved in home repair. Pray the Lord keep us safe and that no accidents occur on jobsites or with vehicles.
Pray for staff.
Urgent Prayer for Jacque Wallace. Jacque was diagnosed with breast cancer. Treatment for this will be greatly complicated by her myasthenia gravis. Pray the doctors remove all the cancer and that it hasn't spread to other parts of her body.

Bob and Wendy Hammond. Bob oversees our Learning Center, providing after school tutoring for youth, GED prep for adults and other learning programs for the area.
Angie Caskey, a local woman who has come on staff to work with families and young women.
Lacy Blankenship as he heads up home repair and manages all the teams who work with us.
Merilee Newsham. She works work with youth, particularly our middle school boys. She was one of our summer interns a few years ago involved in youth work (back yard bible clubs). She is knowledgeable, a hard worker and really has a heart for the the area and the people. She needs 10 people at $50 a month to finish up her support.
Emily Crawford. Emily is working with youth in the Empowerment Center, Bible Clubs and Middle school outreach. Pray God use her in powerful ways.
Answers to Prayer
We have over 50 kids in various ministry opportunities.
We are working with some very at-risk families and God is helping them see areas that need change.
